We have carefully developed and heavily invested in our Safety Program for 30 years in order to set the industry example for crane safety, and to provide the best crane rental experience possible for our customers. We were the first crane rental company in Georgia to provide training for and to test our employees on their knowledge of crane lift capacities and industry standards. This investment has paid off time and again as we hear from repeat customers and their referrals that our operators are the safest and most professional they’ve ever worked with.
All of our operators are required to have a valid NCCCO Certification (National Commission For The Certification of Crane Operators), an equipment-specific certification from our safety and operations staff, and that they pass the DOT's Commercial Driver Medical Exam that declares them physically qualified to drive and operate a crane. In addition, all of our employees are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and to comply with random drug tests. Our operators average 8 years of experience with our company alone – over 14,000 hours of seat time.
Crane companies that are serious about safety have implemented safety management systems (SMS) into their daily operations. SMS is a means to identify hazards, mitigate the risk associated with those hazards, collect safety data, and act on that data to improve the safety of operations. Not only does Phoenix Crane require its operators to implement SMS, but we have implemented our own to monitor the performance of our operators.
We employ a full-time Safety Director who is available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day to assist you with your safety needs and to solve any problems that might arise. Our Safety Program has been carefully developed over time and continues to be updated and enhanced on a regular basis. Because of our rigorous standards, Phoenix Crane offers:
Safety is vital to our success. We understand the timely completion of your project, and our safe operations will help streamline the job rather than slow it down. No job is worth an injury, and our policy ensures no harm to anyone on your job site. We are proud of our safety culture and our excellent EMR rating, which our company is always striving to improve.
