Mike has been with Phoenix Crane since 1985. He has worked in all areas of this business, from payroll processing to dispatching. He now oversees operations and employee retention.

Karen Barton
Karen began her career with Phoenix in 1991 as the Safety Director. She learned the ins and outs of the business and quickly found her skill set in accounting and financial planning.

Scott Phillips
Scott learned mechanics during his time in the military, preparing him well for his 32-year career at Phoenix Crane, starting as a fuel truck driver and working his way up to VP of Service.

Wayne Abercrombie
"Opie" started working at Phoenix at just 14 years old, cleaning the shop and cutting the grass. He became a crane operator at 20 and now knows everything about our business!

James Johnson
James brings over 12 years of sales and managerial experience from the construction and startup space. FUN FACT: While attending UGA, James was the school's mascot, Hairy Dawg.

Stephen Farris
Stephen's background as a crane operator has served our operators and customers well, making him an asset to dispatch operations and invaluable for complex lift planning.

Heather Barton
Heather makes heavy equipment look its best. From graphic design to jobsite photography, Heather uses her creativity to present our cranes in unique and engaging ways.

Tommy Satterfield
Tommy is a long-time Phoenix employee with deep roots here. He embodies the values of our company and looks forward to the opportunities the future will bring.

Shannon McConnell
Shannon has been an NCCCO operator at our Augusta branch for more than 10 years, and recently was promoted to Branch Manager.

Rick Baker
Rick started in October of 1995. He has worked as the Safety Director, Sales Manager, and General Manager.

Steve Hood
Steve started in the crane related industry in 1975 as a truck driver and crane operator, then began his sales career with Phoenix Crane in 1990.

Larry O'Donald
Larry enjoys working with our customers to size orders accurately and professionally. He has been a dispatcher with Phoenix for 9 years.

Joe Hawbecker
Joe is a newer addition to the dispatch team. He has successfully adapted and applied the skills he learned in the military for our sales and organizational needs.

Melanie Buffington
Melanie has been the company's bookkeeper for over 20 years. She enjoys the challenge of her job, but mostly, the people she works with from day to day.

Ann Nichols
Ann has managed our customer accounts for over 10 years. She enjoys the camaraderie of the office and is dedicated to her job and to the success of the company.

Cynthia Upshaw
Cynthia brings over 10 years of comprehensive Human Resources experience to the Phoenix Crane family. She ensures all of our t's are crossed and our i's are dotted.

Gay Alston
Gay brings over 25 years of administrative experience and a lifetime of customer service skills to our main phone line. She has a pleasant greeting that will brighten anyone's day!
